TYPES OF TEACHING PRACTICE.

   There are three (3) types of teaching practice, these are; 

1.Micro teaching practice 

2.Peer teaching practice 

3.Block teaching practice 

                 MICRO TEACHING PRACTICE 

It is refer to small unit of contents to small group of students (5-10 students) in small unit of time (5-10 min).means

 It is a skill  training techniques.

It is a short session teaching. 

    To train in experience teacher-student for acquiring teaching skills. 

   To improve the skills of experience teacher. 

                 Micro teaching cycle 

 Procedures

Step 1: micro lesson plan ( 2 hours) 

Step 2: Teach 5min

Step 3: Feedback session 5min

Step 4 Re-plan  10min

Step 5: Re-teach other group 5min 

Step 6: Re-Feedback 5min 

                         Total (30min)

       OBJECTIVES OF MICRO TEACHING 

• To enable teacher trainees to master a number of teaching skills. 
• Enable to gain confidence 
• Micro teaching practice is experiment in the field of teacher education. 
• It is students teaching skills and not teaching         techniques. 

         Merits of micro teaching 

1. Help to develop master important teaching skills. 
2. Help to accomplish specific teacher competence. 
3. Help to get knowledge and confidence between different student-teacher.
